Digital Customer Register: A New Obligation for Businesses

The Digital Customer Register is a new initiative introduced by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) to enhance transparency and streamline business processes through the electronic recording of customers. This digital tool enables businesses to record and manage transactions in real time, before providing services, and integrates seamlessly with the myDATA digital platform.

This process will be facilitated by business software like EMDI Business Management, eliminating the need for manual entries or additional procedures.

Which Businesses Are Affected?

In the initial phase, the measure applies to specific sectors, including:

Vehicle repair and maintenance workshops

EMDI Business Management software will fully integrate this feature, ensuring that customer records are automatically managed without extra manual work.

By 2025, this requirement will gradually expand to other industries such as:

How Does It Work?

  • Businesses must digitally record customer entries before providing services.
  • Upon successful registration, a Unique Digital Customer Register ID is generated.
  •  The customer’s presence is linked to the corresponding fiscal receipt or invoice when they leave.

What Does This Mean for Businesses?

  • Automated Customer Management – No more manual entries or paperwork. The process is seamless and integrated with business software.
  • Regulatory Compliance – Businesses remain fully compliant with AADE regulations without additional effort.
  • Efficient Transaction Monitoring – Electronic recording reduces errors and simplifies transaction tracking.

The EMDI Business Management, EMDI Park, and EMDI Workshop etc. solutions will fully integrate this functionality, making it easy for businesses to comply with the new regulations accurately and efficiently.
