The Integration of POS Terminals with ERP Systems
The integration of POS terminals with ERP systems has emerged as a critical issue for businesses, ensuring efficient, secure, and transparent communication between the two. The growing demand for comprehensive solutions has driven the development of new protocols and technologies, facilitating sales and inventory management.
SBZ I.K.E. supports modern protocols such as Common Web (Web ECR) and VIVA Cloud, offering seamless POS and ERP integration solutions for users of its EMDI software and e-invoicing services through an authorized provider (SBZ IKE).
POS Terminals Supporting the New Protocols (as of 03/01/2025)
In the past, Cardlink offered the POS terminal Ingenico ICT220 as the sole model compatible with the Common Web ECR Protocol and e-invoicing providers. However, the Ingenico ICT220 has now been discontinued by Cardlink.
SBZ I.K.E. continues to support businesses by providing up-to-date solutions for integrating POS terminals with ERP systems, tailored to their needs.
Cloud-based integrations offer a range of significant benefits for businesses, making these solutions essential for those seeking to remain competitive and efficient. The key advantages include:
- High Levels of Security: Data transmitted via cloud-based protocols is protected by advanced security measures, reducing the risk of data loss or leakage.
- Flexibility and Scalability: Cloud solutions allow for easy expansion and upgrades without physical intervention, adapting infrastructure to the growing needs of businesses.
- Immediate Support and Updates: Continuous support for cloud-based protocols enables the seamless integration of new features and improvements without the need for time-consuming local installations.
It should be noted that, to date, VIVA is the only company that has fully completed the implementation of integrations for softPOS solutions. Updates from other companies providing softPOS solutions are awaited as they work toward completing their implementations.
